The Annual Meeting of the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) Advisory Board was hosted by the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), located in Oostende, Belgium, during 4 to 8 September 2006. The Meeting was attended by 38 participants from 25 National ASFA Partners, 3 UN Partners, 1 International ASFA Partner, the ASFA Publishing Partner, and 3 observers. The Agenda is in Annex-1. The Documents presented at the Meeting and the abbreviations used in the Report are listed in Annex-1a an d Annex-1c, respectively. The names and addresses of the participants are listed in Annex-1b. Mr Haspeslagh (VLIZ) welcomed the participants to VLIZ and introduced Mr Mees, the Director of VLIZ, who officially opened the meeting.
