| dc.description | The agriculture sector in Botswana supplies food and raw materials and is important for maintaining food security at household and national levels. Yet it only contributes 2–3 percent of the country's gross domestic product, and it has the potential to contribute more. Drought, pests and diseases limit crop production in Botswana. This project was implemented to carry out on inventory of crop pests and diseases and to improve the import regulation system and the export certification system, so as to promote trade and agricultural production and ultimately increase food security. | |
