The Annual Report provides an overview of the activities conducted by the Ethics Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) from January to December 2024. It is structured around the core areas of the Ethics Office’s mandate, which focuses on promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability. This culture is essential to ensure that all personnel can carry out their duties in line with the highest standards of conduct and feel empowered to report misconduct without fear of retaliation.Through this report, the Ethics Office aims to uphold its mandate by offering a transparent account of its initiatives and shedding light on some of the challenges the Organization continues to face, as identified through its work.
