Prices of imported rice and maize went up in recent months following international price increases while local rice and maize prices remained stable or declined. Food insecurity is persistent in many areas; different agencies reported a stressed to crisis level of food security and very high prevalence of undernourishment. Drought conditions during the reporting period have had negative effects on spring crops affecting several areas in the South-east, North, Northwest, and Northeast. No a gricultural support policies for the drought affected areas are reported.
