The information provided in What do Experts say on GM (Genetically Modified) food and GM plants represents the views of different professionals in Sri Lanka both academic and non-academic to a series of questions including, What are GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms), The potential risks compared to non-GM products and Potential benefits from such GM products. The answers includes different perceptions of GMOs and whether such products should be freely accessible commercially or used for specific purposes once produced through research and development. Further the use of GMOs in different fields such as Agriculture/Science and Medicine is highlighted and the choice of cosumers for such products that may become available in the future due to advances in Agriculture/Science and Medicine resulting from Biotechnology advances in Sri Lanka and globally is also mentioned.
