Using the 2023 winter cropland baseline and very high-resolution satellite imagery, an assessment of damage to olive and other tree plantations in the Gaza Strip resulting from the recent conflict escalation was conducted. A total of 500 random sample points were distributed across olive and other tree plantation areas to estimate damage proportions. The damage analysis was performed by comparing pre-conflict and post-conflict imagery (WorldView-2, May 2021, and Pleiades, August–September 2025) and applying the derived damage proportions to the total crop area for each governorate.
