Descripción
Wood is a natural material that has contributed greatly to human life. In particular, sawn timber has a long history and has been used in structures such as houses, ships, and bridges where strength is important. In the case of importing and distributing timber products in accordance with the ACT ON THE SUSTAINABLE USE OF TIMBERS in Korea, quality indicating is required after conducting a standard quality inspection. Korea Forestry Promotion Institute is the only institution that Criteria for Specifications and Quality of sawn timber, and has been accumulating data by conducting experiments on the species and strength of sawn timber. This study analyzed the characteristics of wood species and compressive parallel to grain strength of sawn timber samples submitted to Korea Forestry Promotion Institute for 3 years from 2018 to 2020.
