In order to evaluate rice varieties and lines to be inserted in the varietal structure of rice national production, this work was carried out during 1999, 2000 and 2001 at “Los Palacios” Rice Research Station, belonging to the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences. Results achieved by the short season varieties INCA LP-11 and INCA LP-14, as well as mid season INCA LP-7 and INCA LP-15, concerning agricultural yield and industrial grain quality (% entire grains), permit to recommend their introduction to validation studies in rice enterprises of the country.
