The methodology and guidance developed here can be used by stakeholders in all countries and across the entire range of large ruminant production systems. In developing the guidelines, it was assumed that the primary users will be individuals or organizations with a good working knowledge of life cycle assessment. The main purpose of the guidelines is to provide sufficient definition of calculation methods and data requirements to enable consistent application of LCA across differing large ru minant supply chains
