With the exception of a few northern hemisphere countries that are still harvesting their last crops, the 2015 paddy season is closed by now. Reflecting the influence of the El Niño weather anomaly, the global outlook has deteriorated if compared to December expectations, mostly on worsening prospects for India, the DPR Korea, Myanmar and Thailand.
