| dc.description | The Republic of Korea forestry outlook study provides a comprehensive overview of developments and prospects for the country's forestry sector. The analysis covers forest resources, timber products, non-wood forest products (NWFPs) and forest ecosystem services. The paper anticipates stable growth in consumption of timber products, some of which will be met from maturing national forests. The situation for NWFPs varies by product. Increasing demands for ecosystem services will be met through imp lementation of various government plans designed to enhance the quality of forests and the services they provide. | |
