bazo y cerebro.
The preliminary study of the pathogenesis was done in live animals half breed holstein 18 months old, inoculated with the strains NJ 7546. The virus incubation period ranged between 24 and 36 hours post inoculation with fluctuant fever. The neutralizing antibodies levels in the serum were detected 72 hours post inoculation obtaining high and persistent titers. The attempt to isolate virus from saliva after healing of the lesions, nasal mucus and feces was negative. The histopathological findings showed that tongue, linfatic nodes, spleen and brain were the most affected organs. It is suggested the importance of using in bovines, other inoculation routes to complete the pathogenesis studies of vesicular stomatitis virus.
