The aim of the study is to identify trends in purchasing of pork in the European Union in the period 1990-2015, with a particular focus on selected countries. Using the data from Eurostat data on the size of the purchase of pigs for slaughter and average annual and monthly purchase prices for the years 1990-2015. Basic methods of statistical analysis of the data were used – multiplicative time series analysis, in which the component of the trend and cyclical fluctuations were separated.
