This 26th Uganda Economic Update reports on recent economic developments and policies, placing them in a regional and global context and assessing their implications for Uganda’s economic prospects. The report is intended for a wide
audience, including policymakers, business leaders, development partners, and analysts working in and on Uganda. The report is divided into two main parts. Part 1 presents macroeconomic developments in Uganda during FY25, including growth, fiscal, monetary, and external sector trends, and the medium-term outlook. Part 2 examines the challenges and opportunities for agro-industrialization through the lens of climate resilience, drawing on the Uganda Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR).
