Descripción
The summary presents findings from an FAO-facilitated study which used TIPs to explore infant and young child feeding practices in the Kasungu and Mzimba districts. The trials’ results fed into the nutrition education component of the FAO integrated agriculture-nutrition program “Improving Food Security and Nutrition Policies and Programme Outreach” (IFSN). Investigating seasonal variation in local food availability was one of the main objectives of the trials as seasonality poses a major challe nge to food security in rural Malawi.
