The project Enhancing resilient livelihoods and food security of host communities and Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon through the promotion of sustainable agricultural development (UNJP/RNE/011/EC), implemented from October 2019 to March 2024, aimed to improve livelihoods and food security through sustainable agriculture, institutional capacity building, and job creation. Key partners included the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), World Food Programme (WFP), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the governments of Jordan and Lebanon. The project utilized a multifaceted approach, including farmers’ registries, grant schemes and natural resources management (NRM) interventions, to address the needs of vulnerable populations in dynamic and complex contexts.
