This report provides a background analysis of the Kyrgyz agricultural sector. Its main findings were presented at the Kyrgyz Agriculture Investment Forum (KAIF), held in Bishkek on 28 and 29 September 2011. The objective of the Forum, a first of its kind, was to promote investments in agriculture and rural development in Kyrgyzstan. The Forum brought together over 130 participants – from both the public and private sectors – who discussed modalities to increase investment in the country’s agricu lture sector.
