This region, comprised of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Oblast, are 100% irrigation, and are still largely farmed via control system inherited from the USSR. The presented here are a first attempt to assess profitability of the most important crops grown dependent on a command and crop budgets .
