Resumen
Descripción
forest protection is an important but not easy task. This poster will present (i) the main functions of the forests; (ii) the benefits of the natural forests and planted forests; (iii) institutional information of the organizations that act in the development of the Brazilian forest sector, particularly of interest for the productive chain of wood and non-wood forest products; and (iv) technical, scientific and managerial contributions for the sustainable forest development. Government, civil society and companies have been helping the improvement of forestry practices and policies submission. However, there is a lack of information necessary to establish and fulfill these regulations. The effective engagement of civil society in monitoring the actions needed demands the share of information and methods training between the different society groups involved.
