The resurgence of violence in the Central African Republic since the end of 2017 has further exacerbated the humanitarian needs of already vulnerable communities, which have continued to rise mainly due to increased insecurity, forced population displacements and limited access to basic social services. For 2019, FAO is requesting USD 30.5 million to support 900 000 people through agricultural activities to enhance food production and nutrition.
