These guidelines are prepared to provide FAO evaluators and staff with step-by-step guidance on how the Office of Evaluation (OED) conducts gender assessment in the different types of evaluations. It complements FAO Evaluation Manual released in April 2015. In addition to these guidelines, a gender evaluation framework was developed by the Office of Evaluation (OED) (see Annex 1) to provide examples of evaluation questions based on FAO’s gender objectives.
