Canada, through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), contributed CAD 5 million (USD 3 734 052) to FAO’s project entitled “Support for the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) - FAO - 2022-2025”. The project was implemented from 16 June 2022 to 31 March 2025. The objective of the project was to support improved evidence-based decision-making at global, regional and country levels. The support from Canada enabled the initiative to take a number of significant steps, with the aim to ensure that IPC continues to support decision-making and programming by providing essential, high quality and timely information on food security and nutrition crises.
