dc.descriptionThe development flows to agriculture (DFA) dataset is an important component of agricultural investment financing statistics which also includes government expenditures on agriculture, foreign direct investment in agriculture and credit to agriculture. The objective of the DFA database is to provide readily available data to enable analysis on aid flows and the purposes they serve, with an emphasis on agriculture, its components, and environmental protection. This brief analyses the DFA dataset latest update. According to the latest data, total development flows and development flows to agriculture reached their highest level, and grew the fastest, in 2020, as donors mobilized resources to offset some of the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. DFA reached USD 14.7 billion in 2020, an increase of 15.2 percent compared with 2019.
