Descripción
On 12 March 2015 Tropical Cyclone Pam struck Kiribati withstrong winds, heavy rains, storm surges and floods. The stormdamaged about 217 households on the outer islands of Aroraeand Tamana. Gardens, crops, piggeries and fishing gear weredestroyed, and about 80 percent of the plants died. Becauseof the outer islands are remote, emergency assistance afterthe storm was minimal. This project was implemented to restorefood and livelihood security to the households most affectedby the Tropical Cyclone.
