The Committee on Fisheries (COFI) held its Eleventh Session in Rome from 19 to 26 April 1977. The Session was attended by 72 members of the Committee, by observers from 3 other FAO member Nations and the U.S.S.R., by the Permanent Observer for the Holy See, by representatives of the United Nations, the United Nations Development Programme, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, the World Meteorological Organization and the European Economic Community, and by observers from 9 other inter national organizations.
