| dc.description | The report covers food security country briefs for 15 countries in four regions:Latin America: Haiti; Africa: Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan; Middle East: Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen; Asia: Afghanistan. The situation differs from country to country; however, it is unsurprising that countries with ongoing conflicts have the highest numbers of food insecure people. For the current updates, the det eriorating food security situation is a concern in Yemen, South Sudan, Somalia and the Lake Chad Basin region. | |
