The collection of photos in this book provides a visual illustration of FAO in action. By representing the diverse landscapes of agriculture and food systems across the globe, these photos reveal the relationship between agriculture, people, and the environment. In the 70th anniversary of FAO’s foundation, this book tells a story about FAO’s mandate and the food, farms, people and cultures of its members. And while it is true that a picture is worth a thousand words, no photo album is large enou gh to portray an all-encompassing impression of the agriculture and food systems in the world. These photos offer a mere glimpse of the depth and breadth of diversity in food and agricultural systems across the globe.
