The report on the fifth meeting of The Indo-Pacific Fisheries Council, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from the 22nd January to 5th February, is presented. Among the topics discussed were: hydrology, plankton, tu and oceanic fisheries, inshore fisheries, seaweeds and sundry fisheries, fish culture, Hilsa, taxonomy, craft and gear, food technology, socio-economics and marketing and statistics.
