dc.descriptionBuilding upon the Pacific Aid Effectiveness Principles which was signed by Pacific Island Countries (PICs) in 2007 and with the intention to enhance harmonization of Development Partners development resources based on their known comparative advantages FAO undertook a mapping study in 2008 to detail activities (both current and planned) of key development partners in the broader agricultural sector. Sectors covered by the assignment include: Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries (including national and household food security; Nutritional Health, Food Security, Water and Sanitation; Trade; Improved Business Environment, Broader Based Economic Growth; Environment – Land Management, Resource Conservation / Rehabilitation; Climate Change – Response and Adaptation; Disaster Preparedness The purpose of this assignment was to: Update general information (Strategic Documents, Development Objectives, Primary Partner Countries, Instruments) for development partner’s included in the 2008 study an d Update key project/programme activities in each of the sectors covered by the 2008 study.
