This report provides a summary of the proceedings, findings and results of a Central Asia Climate Smart Agriculture workshop held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from 12-14 July 2016. It was organized by FAO in collaboration with CACAARI, CAREC, CEU, GACSA and ICARDA. The workshop aimed to raise awareness and build capacity to undertake CSA approaches as well as to determine collective priority interventions at national and regional levels. This included the identification of the needed knowledge, tools and technical support and to link these to ongoing and new projects, such as the Second Phase of the Central Asian Countries Initiative for Land Management (CACILM-II) and FAO’s Economics and Policy Innovations for Climate-Smart Agriculture (EPIC) programme. The workshop brought together various regional and national delegates, from ministries, universities and research institutes, international organizations and donors engaged in the five Central Asian countries.
