This issue of ASFA Magazine explores the evolving role of Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). It highlights how AI is reshaping the management and dissemination of fisheries and aquaculture information — from enhancing translation of technical terminology and improving data recording, to advancing the vision of a universal library. While embracing AI’s opportunities, ASFA remains attentive to the risks, ensuring that both its technologies and partners continue to evolve inclusively. The issue also features updates from ASFA partners, event highlights, and tributes, including an in memoriam for Jacqueline Prod’homme, a dedicated ASFA partner and advocate for knowledge sharing.
