dc.descriptionThe aim of the study was to assess the diversity consumption of vegetables and their preserves in the different types of households distinguished on the grounds of the socio-economic group, income level and type of biological families, as well as to identify changes in the consumption of vegetables in separate types of families in 2006-2013. The highest consumption of fresh vegetables appeared in households of retirees and pensioners, farmers, marriages without children and households with the highest income. A high consumption of vegetables preserves was observed among pensioners, self-employed and employees in non-manual labour positions. The consumption of vegetable preserves decreased with increasing numbers of children in the family, and increased with the amount of income. In the analyzed period in all groups of households consumption of fresh vegetables decreased and the consumption of vegetable preserves increased, and the range of these changes depended on the type of household.
