This publication highlights the strategic collaboration between FAO and Wageningen University & Research (WUR) to advance sustainable agrifood systems through science, innovation, and capacity development. It provides an overview of key activities and results achieved under the partnership, including joint research on consumer behavior and climate-smart agriculture, development of digital tools such as SEPAL and WaPOR for land and water monitoring, and contributions to fisheries management and resilience programming. The publication also documents capacity-development initiatives, such as youth engagement through the World Food Forum and technical advisory roles in global conferences.Aligned with FAO’s Strategic Framework the publication underscores efforts to promote evidence-based policymaking, climate-resilient agriculture, and inclusive food systems. It supports FAO’s objectives on innovation and technology accelerators and responds to the needs of technical stakeholders, policymakers, and practitioners seeking scalable solutions for sustainable resource management.
