Resumen

Descripción

Cereal prices increased dramatically in recent months. Market disruptions due to ongoing conflict and insecurity continue to limit market access. Persistent armed conflict is still a major cause of food insecurity throughout the country, with a rising number of IDPs being extremely vulnerable. Although the number of people requiring emergency food assistance has declined to about 2 million since the first semester of 2010, agencies are concerned over a situation of very high food insec urity. While the government is engaged in fighting militia armed groups, international agencies are facing extreme difficulties in reaching the population.
