This document presents the fil report of the sixty-eighth session of the Executive Committee of the Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission (APFIC) which was held at the FAO Regiol Office for Asia and the Pacific, Bangkok, Thailand, from 5 to 7 July 2000. Major topics discussed were: progress reports on the inter-sessiol activities of APFIC; reports of the Ad hoc Legal and Fincial Working Group and the study on the future role of APFIC; and progress report on preparations for the twenty-seventh session of the Commission. The summary of the main recommendations/decisions is shown in Appendix F.
