In this session Forestry professionals will explain their experience and work as leaders of international organizations that have taken forest sciences beyond the traditional sphere. They will talk about how they have been able to integrate other disciplines to address complex issues that involved the practice of forestry. Among those challenges are how to bring scientific information to different actors; inform investors about the importance of forest and business opportunities; and how to promote the value of ecosystem services to the private sector and government.
