Descripción
This publication is the fourth of a series of reports prepared within the framework of FAO’s AQUASTAT programme, aimed at providing information on water use and irrigation in the world. The first report covered the African continent. This report presents a description of the situation of water use and irrigation in the countries of the Asian continent not covered by the two previous publications on the Near East and on the countries of the former Soviet Union. It includes country profiles, summa ry tables, maps, and a regional synopsis emphasizing the subregional characteristics of this vast and diverse region.
