| dc.description | Consumption of fish, molluscs and crustaceans in Spain increased from 25.85 kg/pc in 1961 to 44.65 kg/pc in 2003. Demersal and pelagic fish are the main categories of seafood consumed in Spain, followed by molluscs. Fish in Spain is consumed in a variety of ways but often whole, mainly fresh but also frozen. Preserved products, with the significant exception of canned tuna, are less popular although also significant. | |
