dc.descriptionThe River Care is a PES scheme initiated by the Rewards for, Use of and shared Investment in Pro-poor Environmental Services (RUPES Phase 1 and 2) project of the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). The scheme provides either cash payment or microhydro for communities in two villages in Sumberjaya, Way  Besai watershed based on their performance in reducing soil sedimentation which benefits a downstream hydroelectric power (HEP – PLTA Way Besai) company.
