This factsheet presents the top 10 species groups in 2021 world aquaculture production and examines the production distribution among countries. The ranking of all 67 species groups is illustrated on the back cover. More information about the top 10 species groups at the regional and national levels can be found in a more comprehensive factsheet as supplementary materials. The comprehensive factsheet also elaborates on the species grouping methodology used in the ranking exercise and presents the top 10 producers of all 67 species groups.
