dc.descriptionSe definieron las directrices de gestión ambiental para las cuencas costero marinas de la bahía de Amatique en el Caribe de Guatemala. Con base en la caracterización de la zona costero marina se formularon categorías de manejo para las cuencas costero marinas, las cuales contribuirán, las cuales contribuirán como base de planificación para la región. En la zona marina se hallaron especies de coral resistentes al estrés ambiental como son Siderastrea siderea, Agaricia agaricites, Diploria spp. y Colpophyllia natans. Otro indicio de disturbio fue la sedimentación hallada (promedio 4.8 mg/centímetro cuadrodo/día. A partir de lo hallado, se definieron directrices de gestión ambiental de las cuencas costero marina y la zona marina de la bahía de Amatique (que incluye parches de coral), las cuales contienen lineamientos, principios, criterios, acciones recomendadas e indicadores.

Base of the characterization of the marine coastal categories of managing formulated for the marine coastal watershed, which will contribute as base of planning to the region. In the marine zone there situated species of coral resistant to the environmental stress, they are Siderastres sideres, Agaricites, Diploria spp. and Colpophyllia natans. Another indication of disturbance was the found sedimentation (average 4.8 mg/square centimeters/day). From the found thing, there defined directives of environmental management of the coastal marine basins of Amatique's bay (that patches of coral include), which contain limits, principles, criteria, recommmended actions and indicators.
