Resumen
Descripción
The present work was developed at The National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA), with the objective of carrying out the morphoagronomic and isoenzymatic characterization of 20 tomato accessions including commercial varieties and wild species of L. esculentum var. cerasiforme, L. pimpinellifollium and L. hirsutum. For its development, different morphoagronomic characters like type of growth, flowers per inflorescence, fruiting percentage and those related with fruit characteristics were evaluated. The data obtained were submitted to statistical univariate and multivariate methods. Also, electrophoretic analyses of Prx, Est, Ppo, Dia, Mdh, Fdh, AO and AC were performed. The existence of genetic variability in morphoagronomic characteristics within the collection was detected which enabled to prepare four essential groups of accessions in which fruiting percentage, weight color and shape of mature fruit were the most contributive indicators to this grouping.. However, electrophoretic studies showed a few polymorphism due to a high degree homology existing on Lycopersicon genus.
