dc.descriptionMain activities conducted during 1986 regarding the improvement of individual characters in bean comprised the evaluation of several advanced and segregating bean nurseries for their reactions under field conditions to rust, angular leaf spot, anthracnose, common bacterial blight, and halo blight as well as the development of methodologies to better determine disease resistance mechanisms. Results of these evaluations are included. (CIAT)
dc.descriptionLas principales actividades realizadas durante 1986 en relacion con el mejoramiento de caracteres individuales en frijol comprendieron la evaluacion de algunos viveros de frijol avanzados y segregantes por sus reacciones en condiciones de campo a roya, mancha foliar angular, antracnosis, anublo bacteriano comun y anublo de halo, asi como el desarrollo de metodologias para determinar mejor los mecanismos de resistencia a enfermedades.
