dc.descriptionProject GCP/GLO/543/USA was prepared as a contribution by USAID to the Monitoring and Analysing Food and Agricultural Policies (MAFAP) programme, a five-year umbrella programme implemented by FAO and supported by multiple donors with the aim of strengthening evidence-based policy-making in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Its objectives were to achieve the adoption of at least five agricultural policy reforms across countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, and to strengthen the national capacity and commitment of countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to monitor, analyse, advocate for and reform food and agricultural policies. However, following revisions requested by USAID, the total budget for the project was reduced and the remaining funds were used for two activities, described below.
