This report takes place within the framework of the regional project “Maximize the production of goods and services of Mediterranean forest ecosystems in the context of global changes” (2012-2016) financed by the French Global Environment Facility together with the German Cooperation (GIZ), the French Ministry of Agriculture, Agrifood, and Forestry, and the European Union in 5 countries in North Africa (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia) and the Near East (Lebanon, Turkey). Turkey has provided a nationa l report on the component 3 of the project focused on the improvement of governance through participative and territorial approaches implementation. The report explains the activities and results by applying participative governance approaches” in Düzlerçamı pilot site in Turkey. Three main phases of the participatory approach methodology have been developed: present situation analysis and strategy formulation, determining the priorities of the forest values, assessing the impacts and results of the participation process, and determining the stakeholders’ satisfaction levels according to their participation.
