The Climate Health Implementation Manual (CHIM) is a practical guide that helps project teams, government counterparts, and development partners—including Regional Multilateral and National Development Banks integrate climate considerations into health systems, not as an add-on, but as a core component of health systems strengthening. Building climate-resilient health systems is essential to achieving universal health coverage and supporting human capital development. The CHIM brings together the best available guidance, strategies, and tools so countries do not have to start from scratch. They can learn from what is already working elsewhere and adapt it to their context as the CHIM is a roadmap that shows both what to do and how to do it, moving from design to operations, implementation, and results. Because climate and health challenges cut across sectors, including environment, water, digital, agriculture, energy, transport, planning, education and social protection, the CHIM is designed for teams working across institutional boundaries with other line ministries.
