dc.descriptionThis document presents the report of the twentieth session of the Asia and Pacific Commission on Agricultural Statistics, held in New Delhi, India from 20 to 24 September 2004, attended by 86 delegates from 17 member countries. The session assessed the current status of food and agricultural statistics in member countries and discussed new developments in FAO statistical databases. Papers on the use of trade flow data in agricultural policy and on application of remote sensing in area and crop f orecasts, forestry and fishery statistics are presented, among others. Reports are provided of several round table discussions on diverse aspects of food and agricultural statistics. Recommendations and follow-up actions are included in the session report.
