Descripción
The above analysis relies on combined information coming from the Macro-Indicators and Agricultural Capital stock databases both available on FAOSTAT under the Macro-Statistics domain. The Agricultural Capital Stock domain in FAOSTAT provides data on key indicators including Gross Fixed Capital Formation, Net and Gross Capital Stock, Consumption of Fixed Capital, Investment ratio, and the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Agriculture Orientation Index. The sector coverage is limited to the Agriculture, forestry, and fishery (ISIC Rev.3: A+B) activity group, though the corresponding variables in the total economy can be found on FAOSTAT domain entitled “Macro-Indicators”. The FAO Capital Stock Database is an analytical database. Whenever available, the database integrates official national accounts data harvested from UNSD or OECD. If the full set of official data is not available for a specific country, estimation procedures are employed to obtain estimates for the entire time series. Data on agricultural GFCF are available for over 200 countries.
