This handbook was prepared through the cooperation of three organizations, i.e. the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Credit Union League of Thailand, Ltd. (CULT) and the Micro Economic Development Project (MEDP). The Micro Economic Development Project works closely with various hill tribes in the northern part of Thailand in organizing credit union cooperatives. The Credit Union League of Thailand, Ltd is a national cooperative body which promotes and organizes credit union cooperatives in local communities. The purpose of the handbook is to provide effective and practical guidelines for hill tribe people in their small business enterprise operations.
