This newsletter provides an overview of the progress of the project from August to November 2019, with focus on the project highlights and key activities in the course of implementation. Three important documents of project outputs, namely Wetland Protected Area Management Strategy, Management Plans for 6 nature reserves and the Poyang Lake Wetland Ecosystem Protected Area(PWEPA) Management Framework, were compiled. The subcontractor for developing school wetland education curriculum drafted a school textbook based on survey results in primary schools. The project management office (PMO) organized training class on survey and monitoring of Finless Porpoise, as well as community co-management, and held consultant communication meeting and workshop for reviewing management plans. In addition, the wetland rehabilitation construction is under way and the activity of monitoring finless porpoise was carried out in Poyang Lake region for the first time. The project keeps its progress on the right track.
